Anti-worker politicians in Des Moines passed a bill gutting Iowa’s collective bargaining laws for public-sector workers. Teachers, nurses, police officers and other public workers will have fewer health care benefits, will face wage cuts, and will have no say about safety and working conditions on the job.
The worst part is, they’re not done. Gov. Terry Branstad and his anti-worker allies in the legislature want to keep gutting collective bargaining rights.
