Tell lawmakers: Minnesota needs a 40-hour workweek

Minnesota State Legislature

Unlike federal law and most other states, Minnesota is the only state in the nation that has a 48-hour workweek written into law.

It’s time our state caught up with the rest of the nation and gave every working Minnesotan overtime pay once they have worked more than 40 hours in a week. Changing to the federal standard would mean working Minnesotans would get the overtime pay they’ve earned.
