A daily newspaper is a treasure that many cities no longer have. But deep cuts to the newsroom of the Reporter-Herald have left many worried about the future of the newspaper.
The staffing of the Reporter-Herald is a shadow of what it once was. Further cuts would pose an existential threat. And journalists’ pay of $14.50 an hour, which hasn’t budged in years, is not a living wage in Larimer County.
