Pass a Resolution in support of Medicare-for-All
The Montgomery County Council
Our Revolution Maryland supports unconditionally Medicare-for-All legislation introduced by Bernie Sanders in the Senate and Pramila Jayapal and Debbie Dingell in the House of Representatives.
Unfortunately, neither of Maryland's two Democratic Senators - Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen - are backing Bernie's bill. Likewise, Representative David Trone has so far refused to co-sponsor the Jayapal/Dingell legislation.
With the Maryland Progressive Healthcare Coalition, we believe that pressure from local lawmakers may make a difference to these recalcitrant Democrats. We therefore are petitioning the Montgomery County Council to pass a unanimous Resolution calling on Congress to pass Medicare-for-All forthwith.
