Tell NBC: Ask the Democratic candidates if they would sign the Social Security 2100 Act into law

Debate moderators Savannah Guthrie, Lester Holt, Chuck Todd, Rachel Maddow and José Diaz-Balart

Rep. John Larson’s (D-CT) Social Security 2100 Act would increase Social Security’s modest benefits and keep Social Security strong to the end of the 21st century and beyond. It would require the wealthy to pay into Social Security at the same rate as the rest of us.

The Social Security 2100 Act already has 209 co-sponsors―just nine votes short of a majority in the U.S. House. There’s a very real chance this bill could become law in 2021―if the right person is in the White House.

Join us in calling on NBC's debate moderators to ask every Democratic candidate on stage at this week’s debate: If you’re elected President, and Congress sends the Social Security 2100 Act to your desk, will you sign it?

Social Security’s future hangs in the balance. Depending on who wins the White House in November 2020, benefits could be cut―or expanded. Voters need to know where the Democratic candidates stand.

The Social Security 2100 Act, which would expand Social Security with no cuts, already has 209 co-sponsors―just nine votes short of a majority in the U.S. House.
