Here’s what Jeff Sessions, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General has said and done:

  • He said the Voting Rights Act is just a "piece of intrusive legislation."
  • He called the NAACP and other civil rights groups  “un-American” and “Communist-inspired.”
  • Sessions said the KKK was “okay, until he learned that they smoked marijuana.”
  • He called a white civil rights attorney a “disgrace to his race.”
  • He repeatedly addressed a black federal prosecutor as “boy.”
It's clear Jeff Sessions is unfit to be Attorney General. Tell Sen. Chuck Schumer to use his position as Democratic leader to reject his nomination!

Dear Senator Schumer,

Jeff Sessions racist words and actions makes it clear that he is unfit to lead the Justice Department.

This isn't the first time Sen. Sessions has sought confirmation from the Senate. The last time was in 1986, when a Republican Senate under Ronald Reagan rejected him for a federal judgeship. Nothing's changed since then.

In fact, he just recently came out in support of banning Muslim immigrants from the country.
