Tell Senate Democrats: Stop Trump's reckless use of Secret Service funding

Senate Democrats

As President Trump returned from his "working vacation," reports revealed that his family's frequent, luxury trips has drained the budget for the Secret Service—leaving agents to work without pay.

Trump and a whopping 18 members of his family are under Secret Service protection, and they have taken no measures to restrict their extravagant lifestyle.

Eric Trump's business trip to Uruguay in February cost the Secret Service $100,000 in hotel rooms alone. And Trump's fondness of golfing has racked up $60,000 in golf cart rentals.

Trump will eventually ask for more funding so they can compensate the agents as they do their jobs—and that's how his overspending can be stopped.

Congress has to approve his request for supplemental funding. And Senate Democrats in particular have the power to pull the reins on Trump's extravagant spending.

Donald Trump and his family have been irresponsible with their frequent trips, leaving Secret Service overworked and underfunded. Taxpayers should not be lining Trump's pockets during his frequent vacations.

Tell Senate Democrats to ban Secret Service funding for the Trump family's trips to family properties.
