Senate Majority Leader McConnell is trying to rig Trump’s impeachment trial in order to guarantee his acquittal -- by blocking witnesses with firsthand knowledge of Trump’s actions from testifying, and refusing to let key evidence be entered into the record.

We’re calling on Senator Schumer to use every procedural means necessary to guarantee a fair trial -- including making Republicans vote on the record if they want to ignore relevant witnesses and evidence.

A fair impeachment trial must be:

Honest: Senators must base their decisions only on the evidence -- and cannot under any circumstances accept fundraising help from Trump or coordinate with his defense before or during the trial.

Thorough: The House must be allowed to present its full case -- calling all necessary witnesses and allowing all relevant evidence to be introduced into the trial record, even if it wasn’t included in the impeachment inquiry.

Transparent: The American people deserve to see what’s happening, limiting transparency only to protect classified information and whistleblower anonymity.

Senator Schumer, we, your constituents, call on you to honor your oath of office and protect our constitutional system of government. The upcoming impeachment trial in the Senate must be conducted in a way that shows that no one is above the law.

Schumer must publicly commit to ensure that the Senate will adopt Impeachment Rules that are no less stringent than those in place for the Clinton impeachment trial -- and use his power as Senate Minority Leader to prevent Senate Republicans from rigging it.

Your responsibility as our duly elected representative requires no less.
