Earlier today at the Yavapai County Republican Men’s Forum, Rep. David Stringer (R-LD1) said that, "immigration today represents an existential threat to the United States. If we don't do something about immigration very, very soon the demographics of our country will be irrevocably changed and we will be a very different country. We will not be the country that you were born into."

The Arizona Republican Party and Governor Doug Ducey denounced Stringer’s comments and have called for his resignation. We agree with this call to action but we also demand that the AZGOP condemn white nationalism entirely within its own ranks. Starting at the top with Doug Ducey, who in March made similar public remarks at the National Review Institute Ideas Summit.

It is well past the time for Republican elected officials to take responsibility for the intolerant and racist comments made by their party leaders. Our current border crisis of parents taken away from their children stem from a xenophobic ideology led and affirmed by Gov. Ducey and President Donald Trump.

Tell the Arizona GOP and Gov. Ducey to clean up their act today by calling on them to denounce white nationalism and the inhumane separation of parents from their children happening RIGHT NOW at the Arizona border.
