Tell Trump: Extend Protection for 300,000 Immigrants

State Department and the Trump Administration

In the next few months, Trump and his administration will decide whether to extend temporary protective status (TPS) for more than 300,000 immigrants from Honduras, El Salvador, and Haiti [1].

Please sign this petition to demand Trump extend protection and work permits for 300,000 immigrants!

On Monday, Trump's administration announced the termination of the TPS program for 2,500 Nicaraguans. Earlier this year, they terminated protection for 1,000 Sudanese. Now, Honduras, El Salvador, and Haiti are being considered for removal from the program which would leave another 300,000 immigrants without protection or ability to work.

This is an economic and moral crisis for the immigrant community. Between TPS and DACA, which was terminated in September, more than 1 million immigrants stand to lose their jobs and the temporary protection from deportation that these programs have afforded us.

This petition is the first step to win permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all undocumented immigrants.

In the coming weeks and months, we will need to be there for eachother. We will need to help protect one another in the workplace. We will need to fight to stop DACAmented workers and TPS holders from getting fired, and raise money to support our families. We cannot be silent through this crisis, nor will any of us be able to get through it alone.

Sign the petition now.
