Tell Trump what you really think about Mike Pence

Donald Trump

Donald Trump says that he likes to "tell it like it is." Well, the LGBT community has something to tell him about what it's like to live with a candidate like Mike Pence. If Donald Trump was as much an ally to the LGBTQ+ community as he said, he would never have chosen one of the most notoriously anti-LGBTQ+ politicians as his running mate.

Indiana Governor Mike Pence has spent his entire career disparaging marriage equality. As a member of Congress he voted against the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” And in the midst of the Obama administration’s progress on transgender rights, Pence remains steadfastly opposed.

Governor Mike Pence is dangerous for LGBTQ+ people.

Last year, Pence embarrassed his constituents and made Indiana the epicenter of hate when he signed the so-called “Religious Freedom Restoration Act,” better known as the “Right to Discriminate” law. Pence only reversed course after strong national backlash, which lost Indiana millions of dollars in state revenue.

LGBTQ+ issues haven't been front and center in the debates, but they sure are on the ballot. We want to hear what Trump has to say about our issues and about his running mate's anti-LGBTQ+ policies.

We'll send your messages to Donald Trump and see where he really stands.

Tell Trump: Pence is wrong for Indiana and would be wrong for the White House.

If you were as much an ally to the LGBTQ+ community as you’ve claimed to be, you would’ve never have chosen one of the most notoriously anti-LGBTQ+ politicians as your running mate.

Mike Pence has spent an entire career disparaging marriage equality. As a congressman he supported a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. And just last year he signed the “right to discriminate” bill, embarrassing Indiana while losing the state millions of dollars in revenue.

As a member of Congress, Pence voted against the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and remains steadfastly opposed to transgender rights to this day.

It’s clear: your running mate is dangerous for LGBTQ+ Americans.
