Tell United Management: No Concessions!

United Airlines Management

United Flight Attendants demand and deserve an industry-leading contract which includes industry-leading pay and quality of life improvements. In other recent contract settlements across the industry, Flight Attendants and other workgroups have not agreed to concessions. Our message to United management is clear: Get concessions off the table and stop the delay tactics.

Management is proposing major concessions in our contract negotiations including a PBS system they’ve shown they have no ability to implement, longer duty days and less rest, healthcare takeaways, and a laundry list of provisions which would negatively impact our quality of work life and our careers. Just last week, management put new concessions on the table while reporting $1 billion in profit in the third quarter and announcing a $1.5 billion stock buyback.

Join us in calling on United CEO Scott Kirby to direct his management team to put an end to these delay tactics. Remove the ridiculous, concessionary proposals. The industry-leading contract Flight Attendants have earned is past due. No more distractions. Get it done.

United Flight Attendants need a contract that represents our contributions to the success of this airline. Our workgroup has helped the carrier through bankruptcies and mergers, flown through COVID, and now it is our turn to get a contract which recognizes our worth.

Yet, your management team is stalling the negotiations by proposing a laundry list of concessions that are simply unacceptable. This only serves to delay the bargaining as we cannot and will not agree to concessions. Throughout the industry, other workgroups have achieved contracts which included major economic increases and quality of life improvements, without agreeing to concessions.

We call on you to direct your management team to drop their unrealistic demands for concessions and focus on getting an agreement which addresses the vital concerns of Flight Attendants.
