Dear Texas Electeds,

Why do you want to devastate the Texas economy? SB 4 will result in significant costs, related to taxes, immigrant consumers, jobs, and wage earnings, if even 10 percent of undocumented immigrants leave the state. This was the percentage drop in population of noncitizen Hispanics in Arizona after the enactment of their equivalent SB 1070. Texas stands to lose at least 165,000 jobs, $9.2 billion in gross domestic product (GDP), and $220 million in state and local revenues. The results are far more profound if factoring in the implications on the developing workforce for tomorrow. Please repeal this law.
