The Biden administration made a promise to help the world fight COVID-19 more easily. Now we need to make sure it follows through.

President Biden

In early May the Biden administration made a historic announcement that the U.S. would change its position on the World Trade Organization (WTO) COVID-19 waiver proposal so that many more lifesaving vaccines would be available to the world.

But Big Pharma is working to delay and weaken a final deal. Delay is unacceptable when lives are on the line.

To end this pandemic, the U.S. needs to help lower-income countries manufacture more vaccines, treatments, and diagnostic tests for COVID-19.

We must make sure the U.S. stands behind a broad definition of tools to stop COVID-19 in its tracks.

Stay strong! Don’t let them stop you from waiving COVID-19 vaccine patents so we can help the word. Make sure the World Trade Organization (WTO) adopts strong, comprehensive emergency COVID-19 waiver language and gets it done as quickly as possible. Every day of delay means more needless deaths.
