In 2018, immigrant youth and our allies worked tirelessly to mobilize people across the country and elect the champions that our communities deserve. This year, we are more unapologetic and stronger than ever before.
As we welcome the new Congress coming in to office today, we are ready to hold them accountable. The 116th Congress must:
Cut funding to ICE & CBP
Pass clean permanent protection for immigrant communities
Hold ICE & CBP accountable
We are ready to fight back against the agencies that took the lives of Claudia, Jakelin, Felipe and many more while in ICE & CBP detention. We have seen first hand how immigrant communities are treated, held in freezing cells or cages, deprived from basic needs like medicine or water. This torture must stop!
