The United Parcel Service (UPS) should disaffiliate from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) because of the harmful role that ALEC has played in the democratic process. Citizens are concerned about ALEC's policy stands, it's secretive practices, and its effort to treat what most people consider a lobbying operation as a "charitable" activity.
