Dear Congressman Chris Stewart,

We, the undersigned constituents of Utah Congressional District 2, respectfully request a town hall meeting with you in the northern area of your district. With understanding of your busy Congressional schedule and your various responsibilities, we nevertheless believe it is extremely important for us to be allowed the opportunity to speak with you in person. Though we are grateful for your willingness to schedule a recent town hall in St. George, Utah, the significant expanse of land that your congressional district covers makes it very difficult for your constituents in the northern end of the district to be present at these meetings.

In our current political climate, it is more important than ever that voters and representatives are able to meet and discuss the issues of the day in a face-to-face setting. It is our simple but sincere hope that you will provide us with the opportunity to express our opinions in person, and to participate in conversation with you, the representative tasked with serving us.

We would like to meet with you during the congressional recess dates of February 18-26. However, if that is not possible, a concrete date, time, and location for a town hall meeting before May 1 will also be acceptable. Please be aware that should you choose not to host your own event during February recess, constituents in your district will plan on organizing one and will invite your participation.
