Want to be Governor? Pledge to Fund & Support Colorado’s Water Plan

Colorado's 2018 Gubernatorial Candidates

A recent poll confirms what Water for Colorado and our supporters have long known, 80% of Coloradans think inadequate water supplies is a serious concern for our state. Furthermore, 80% favor “using our current water supply more wisely, by encouraging more water conservation, reducing use, and increasing recycling of water.”

Taking the pledge to fully fund and support Colorado’s Water Plan should be a no-brainer for Gubernatorial candidates in Colorado. In fact, some have already included detailed plans about it on their websites if you dig for it. But we need to COMBINE OUR VOICES to help show all of the candidates that Coloradans want real action and real leadership around water.

Dear Candidate for Governor of Colorado,

A recent poll confirms what Water for Colorado and our network of supporters have long known, 80% of Coloradans think inadequate water supplies is a serious concern for our state. Furthermore, 80% favor “using our current water supply more wisely, by encouraging more water conservation, reducing use, and increasing recycling of water.” (See the poll here: https://www.coloradocollege.edu/other/stateoftherockies/conservationinthewest/2018/index.html)

It’s more important than ever that Colorado’s leaders stand up for the Water Plan. That’s why we’re asking every candidate running for Governor to pledge that they will fully fund and implement Colorado’s Water Plan should they win in November.

Will you take the pledge?
