This past week, a heroic Twitter hacker posted a fake tweet, supposedly from insulin manufacturer Eli Lilly, declaring that, “We are excited to announce insulin is free now.”

After the release of the fake tweet, Eli Lilly’s stock plummeted. That’s peak content right there.

It’s refreshing to see real-world consequences for forming an insulin cartel and spending decades massively overcharging people who need insulin to stay alive.

But we can do even better than that.

While Eli Lilly’s stock value is still recovering from this sick burn, we’re going to continue fighting for affordable insulin for everyone.

It’s the real Eli Lilly’s prices that are the actual hoax. President Biden, use your executive authority to build public manufacturing capacity for insulin so it’s available to everyone at a lower cost.
