We don't want those 24 new digital ad screens on our pavements!

Lambeth Council

We want to be free to travel around Lambeth without being bombarded by bright digital advertising screens. We don’t want Lambeth to be turned into a Blade Runner reality.

Billboard company Clear Channel is proposing to install 24 new digital advertising screens on pavements all around Lambeth, replacing existing poster sites with more intrusive, more energy-draining digital screens with new images displaying up to every 5 seconds.

These bright advertising screens typically promote new cars, fast fashion and fast food and require a huge amount of electricity to operate. They also cause light pollution for pedestrians and residents and are a major safety concern for road users.

Lambeth Council recommends to object by 17th December 2021.

Please sign and share the petition.

Let's have our say and object to these intrusive and unasked for digital ad boards.

Re: 24 planning applications | Replacement of existing Free-Standing Advertising Unit with a Free-Standing internally illuminated single and double-sided digital display unit | 24 locations

We the undersigned would like to live, work and play in Lambeth without being bombarded by bright new digital advertising selling us new cars, fast fashion or junk food. The proposed 24 new screens would harm the amenity of the area and be a dangerous distraction to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

You can read more about our reasons for objecting to this specific application here:

Please reject these 24 planning applications.
Yours sincerely,
