Will you champion the movement to end prison profiteering?

President Trump has signed an executive order mandating that immigrant families be imprisoned as part of a  “zero-tolerance” policy that criminalizes asylum seekers and other immigrants.

Private prison companies like CoreCivic (formerly Corrections Corporation of America) and GEO Group stand to benefit from this horrific policy. Private prison facilities that house immigrants and other individuals impacted by mass incarceration operate with little regulation or oversight and profit from billions of dollars in federal contracts.  It’s time to end prison profiteering.

Join the national grassroots effort to stop detaining families and to terminate federal contracts with private prisons.

I pledge to champion the end of prison profiteering.

I believe that families and communities come before profit and that incarceration is never a good solution. I support the End Prison Profiteering Campaign and will ask my local, state, and federal legislators to end contracts and kickbacks supporting the private prison industry.
