Join Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans' Senior Power Celebration as we honor Roberta Lynch, Executive Director of AFSCME Council 31, with our annual Jerry Prete award for her committed leadership in advancing the labor movement and a future of dignity and economic security for every worker.  

Lunch will be served at our in-person event at the UA Local 137 Plumbers & Steamfitters Hall, 2880 E Cook St, Springfield. Doors open at 11:30am and Program Begins at 12:00pm. Virtual participation via Zoom will be available.

We are also pleased to announce two new honors that will be awarded as part of this years event: The Retiree Champion Award, which will be received by Representative Lakesia Collins, and the Frank & Bea Lumpkin Award, which will be received by its namesake, Bea Lumpkin.

This  event will be attended by IARA allies including labor and community leaders and elected officials, and is our primary fundraiser and celebration of our mission of guaranteeing a good quality of life and full civil rights for every retiree.

The Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans (IARA) is an organization as described in 26 U.S.C. § 501(c)4. It is exempt from taxation under 26 U.S.C. § 501(c). The funds raised l by the 2022 Senior Power Lunch will be used to support IARA's principal mission.
