Please join us for NH Peace Action Education Fund's 2023 Annual Event & Fall Fundraiser, A Unified Response to Interlocking Crises,  in person for the first time since 2020 (Zoom option also available, see below)!

Our very special guest will be the Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, who will join us via Zoom as we gather at the Puritan Conference Center for a scrumptious buffet and great company!

Rev. Theoharis will talk about how people are coming together to confront the interlocking evils of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism.

We understand that as a nation we are at a critical juncture — that we need a movement that will shift the moral narrative, impact policies and elections at every level of government, and build lasting power for poor and impacted people.

Rev. Theoharis is Director of the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice at Union Theological Seminary and Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival with the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and teaches at Union Theological Seminary in New York City.

She has been organizing among poor and low-income communities for thirty years with organizations such as the National Union of the Homeless, the National Welfare Rights Union, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, Domestic Workers United and many more. Raised in a family committed to social justice, civil liberties and human rights, she has been involved in the movement for her whole life.

There will be opportunity for discussion and Q&A via Zoom for both in-person attendees and Zoom attendees.

Tickets are $50 per person. As always, there is a Student/Fixed income option. (Please consider donating a ticket for someone less fortunate)
