We’re living in an era where the public discourse is overrun by propaganda, inflammatory misinformation, and conspiracy theories.

Armed with a deeper understanding of how demagogues and propagandists use media to warp hearts and poison minds we can become more effective at countering their tactics through conversations that foster critical thought and that spark self-reflection and re-engage with higher moral reasoning.

They have worked to make politics intensely personal in a way that divides us; we will help you make it personal in a way that can re-connect us.

About the trainers:

As Progressive grassroots organizers in the Western PA Rustbelt, Erin and Dave saw up close the toxic effect that right-wing disinformation and propaganda was having on hearts and minds and realized our very democracy was threatened by this media assault. Then Trump happened. They founded HearYourselfThink to stand for American values of truth, reason, and the common good by exposing how demagogues tap into the reptilian mind to divide and conquer.

This training will be hosted as virtual webinar. Upon registration, you'll receive a unique link to log-in and participate. Contact Dave & Erin with any questions prior to the event: 412-370-5247.

What people are saying about the training:

“Their presentation is fantastic. They talk with you not at you. Engaging and informative. They are also tireless activists who knock on doors and put themselves into rough circumstances trying to make a difference.” - Roxanne from Lock Haven

“It's a great forum for its program of media criticism/skepticism that appeals to reason and spotlights history and evidence to "Make America Think Again" -- to create and shed light upon issues rather than mere heat…” - Dean from Pittsburgh
