Join Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Boston for our Winter Fair Fundraiser for Community Change Inc.! Come in out of the cold for fun activities & games, warm beverages, good company, and, best of all, the highly competitive SURJ Bakeoff! You'll have the opportunity to sample lots of delicious baked goods, vote for your favorite, and maybe even bring something home with you. Kid-friendly activities will be provided.
This event will benefit Community Change Inc., our local parent organization, which has been doing the work of organizing white people against white supremacy since 1968. You can learn more about CCI's work to dismantle systemic racism through education and action here. Can't attend, but want to contribute? You can donate here. Any and all donations are appreciated!
Accessibility: The Democracy Center is partially wheelchair accessible, on site bathroom is not ADA compliant. The Mandela, Parks, and Chavez rooms are accessible, but the Library is not. Wheelchair users are welcome to use the accessible restroom at Daedalus while we plan our improvements for bathroom accessibility. To reach that bathroom, exit the ramp and turn left on Bow St, at the next building (Daedalus) use their accessible entrance and their restroom will be on the right.
