Power Analysis is an important tool to help organizers identify strategic targets, as well as allies, opponents and other critical players to develop a winning campaign. The plans for the massive Micron chip factory and how social justice organizers might organize in ways that reduce the harm and increase the benefits of this project, particularly to the most marginalized in our communities, will be used as a case study for the workshop.

Facilitator: Phil Prehn has been a professional organizer for 25+ years, working with the incarcerated, low income families and people with disabilities.

There is a sliding scale fee of $0-$20 to attend. Please pay what you can, and don't let the cost keep you away if you'd like to come! Registration is limited to 20 people.

The workshop is part of the series Activist Skillbuilding for Justice, held fall 2022-winter 2023. It is organized by RiseUp for Social Action in collaboration with the Syracuse Peace Council and the Syracuse Center for Peace and Social Justice.
