Call Congress: No Weapons, No War

No Weapons No War

Updated April 15th, 2026

This evening, Congress will have the opportunity to vote on measures to block weapons to Israel.

With Congress back in session, Bernie Sanders is expected to force a vote in the Senate on two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) on April 15. The first would block 1,000-lb bombs that have been used in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran from being sold to Israel. The second JRD would block bulldozers that Israel has used to demolish homes and forcibly displace millions of people in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.

We also expect Congress to eventually vote on an $80-100 billion supplemental request from the Trump administration to fund the war on Iran.

These measures force senators to go on record ahead of the midterm elections as supporting or standing against selling more weapons to Israel during an ongoing genocide. They also build momentum: every additional senator voting to block weapons shifts the political landscape and gets us one step closer towards ending U.S. complicity in Israel’s war crimes.

Contact your Senators and urge them to vote to stop sending weapons to Israel and oppose any additional funding for the unjust war on Iran. The U.S. government should be investing in childcare, healthcare, housing, and food access—not funding war and devastation.
