Call Congress: Reject the Deadly U.S.-Israel Military Merger
10/19/26 UPDATE - ALL HANDS ON DECK: Right now members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees and other leaders in Congress are negotiating the final bill text of the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). THIS IS OUR BEST AND LAST CHANCE TO PUSH FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE DEADLY MERGER PROVISION FROM THE NDAA. Representative Ro Khanna's office is currently circulating a letter calling for just that. Contact your representatives today to urge them to sign Rep Khanna's letter and publicly oppose any policies that deepen U.S. complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza.
Background:
As momentum builds towards ending U.S. funding for Israel’s crimes, the Israeli state and its allies are attempting to further entrench the U.S.-Israel alliance through a dangerous new framework.
Buried within the annual U.S. military spending bill is a chilling AIPAC-backed proposal, dubbed "the Deadly Merger,” that would integrate the U.S. and Israeli militaries (Section 219 in the House and Section 1217 in the Senate.)
In total, the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would:
- Increase military spending to a whopping budget of $1.15 trillion amidst a devastating affordability crisis and the ongoing assualt on Iran.
- Integrate U.S. and Israeli military technology, intelligence systems, and research through "data fusion" and weapons co-production.
- Rob voters of transparency and accountability by shielding the deadly U.S.-Israel military merger from Congressional oversight.
We have a critical window of opportunity right now to pressure lawmakers to block these disastrous proposals, and it’s more important than ever that they hear from their constituents.
Call your lawmakers in the House and Senate TODAY to demand they:
(1) Publicly oppose any policies seeking to merge the U.S. and Israel's military technology infrastructure and intelligence. Either sign onto Representative Ro Khanna's letter calling for the removal of Sections 219 and 1217 from the FY27 NDAA, or make a separate statement about opposing the Deadly Merger provision.
(2) Publicly commit to voting NO on the NDAA.
