Call Trive Capital, Gemtron’s Venture Capital Owner. Tell It to Stop Union-Busting!
Gemtron workers are holding an unfair labor practice strike to protest management’s attempt to eliminate their pensions. For years, they accepted concessionary contracts to protect their hard-earned retirements.
Private equity firms like Trive Capital, the venture capital firm that owns Gemtron and its direct parent company, SSW Advanced Technologies, routinely beg for union pension dollars to fund their ventures, but then turn around and spend those same dollars to attack the very unions and pensions that are funding them in the first place.
It’s ironic and disturbing, and it is hurting middle-class working people. That’s why we need your help. Thank you for making a call to help these workers.

Hello, my name is _________.
I’m calling about Gemtron, a company your firm has invested in. Working people in Vincennes, Indiana, are on an unfair labor practice strike there and Gemtron management is refusing to bargain in good faith.
Instead, management is attempting to unilaterally destroy their workers' pensions.
I'm calling to ask you to do the right thing. Your firm has asked for union pension dollars to fund your ventures, but then you’re spending those same dollars to attack the very unions and pensions that are funding you.
It’s disturbing, and it is hurting middle-class working people.
I won’t forget that Trive Capital is allowing its companies to hurt working people. Do the right thing. Stop using pension funds for this purpose.
