Boston DSA in Solidarity with Starbucks Workers!

For years, DSA and Starbucks have been working together as Starbucks workers have unionized 640 Starbucks locations and counting—and now Starbucks Workers United (SBWU) are ready to fight for a fair first contract.

The Labor Working Group has been in close contact with the workers and union staffers this fall to create support infrastructure as we gear up for rolling strikes at 7 local shops starting November 13th—including locations in Allston, Brookline, Cambridge, Somerville, and Newton. Labor Working Group wants Boston DSA members to show up and show out over the next 6 weeks and beyond, providing material support through food donations and fundraising, and solidarity work through flyering the boycott, picket line social events, hosting movie screenings, and more!

Labor Working Group needs every chapter and community member aligned to put up a fight against Starbucks Corporation and win a fair first contract with the workers! To get involved in one of the biggest union struggles in the last hundred years, join us on the picket lines, donate nonperishable foods at one of our donation drive events, or make a financial contribution to the Labor Working Group Strike Pantry Fund.

Every dollar from the pantry fund will go directly to strike supplies, meals on picket lines, and material aid—food and dry goods for workers and their families, children, and pets—as SBWU go on strike!
