It has been over 1000 days since the current onslaught in Palestine began and more than 78 years of ongoing occupation and genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. This is one of the defining moral issues of our time. The Israeli government continues its assault with U.S. weapons and funding, but we have a chance to act.

On May 21st, 2025, Reps. Delia Ramirez, Sara Jacobs, Pramila Jayapal, and Mark Pocan, along with 18 other original cosponsors, introduced a historic bill — H.R.3565, the Block the Bombs Act, to prevent the Trump administration from sending weapons to Israel. This is the first bill in US history to proactively block the president from sending to Israel the types of weapons that it has used repeatedly to commit apparent war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza through the genocidal violence Israel has been inflicting since October 2023.

While this is a DSA National Priority Campaign, DSA-LA PSC decided to implement it on the local level to focus on Southern California Representatives.

Join DSA-LA as we host phonebanks aimed at pressuring Rep. Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) and Rep. Laura Friedman (CA-30) to sign on as co-sponsors.

Aside from pushing Representatives to cosponsor H.R.3565, DSA-LA PSC is combining phonebanking Reps. to oppose integration of US and Israeli militaries, as Congress quietly moves to integrate US and Israeli militaries.
