Join CT DSA for our annual chapter convention on May 31, in Hartford and on Zoom! As a democratic organization run by our members, CT DSA hosts quarterly general meetings to discuss strategies and vote on proposals related to our work. Once a year, we hold a convention to discuss proposals and positions on greater issues facing the working class, as well as elect CT DSA chapter officers.
This is your CT DSA Chapter Convention One-Stop Shop, where we will post all the important information including pre-convention events, forms to submit proposals & candidacies, agenda, and convention rules. The page will be constantly updated so keep checking it!

CT DSA chapter convention rules:
Unlike in past General Assemblies, we will be voting on all resolutions during the meeting. You must be in attendance in person or online to cast your vote for proposals.
Also unlike in past General Assemblies, we won’t be doing floor amendments to resolutions. Amendments must be submitted between May 10-20 to be considered.
Anyone is welcome to attend the convention so fellow travelers and DSA-curious folks are invited, but only DSA members will be able to vote during the business block.
All members may propose resolutions, participate in the debate, vote on resolutions during the debate block, and vote in the elections of the Steering Committee, Working Group Chairs, and delegates to the DSA national convention via electronic ballot.
Any member in good standing (i.e. current on dues or dues-waived) is entitled to run for elected positions in the chapter.
