When you sign a GFTU Action Network campaign the personal data you provide is controlled by the General Federation of Trade Unions ("GFTU").

We will collect a variety of information from you as part of your interactions with GFTU Action Network, which will include:

Your name, email address and postcode (or postal address if needed for the campaign);

Whether you're a member of a union (this special category data will not be disclosed outside the union);

Your campaign action(s) including details of the campaign(s) you've supported and the response(s) you've completed, as well as the topic(s) you're interested in;

Data on your interactions with the emails we send so that we can learn about the effectiveness of our communications;

Depending on the campaign, we may ask whether you work in the relevant industry and/or whether you are employed by, a customer of or a resident of the organisation the campaign relates to.

By submitting your details you agree we may share limited personal information with decision makers on a campaign, for example, when handing in petitions, we share names and postcodes, and may share your comments with the decision maker.

We ask for your consent to send you email updates regarding GFTU Action Network campaigns.

If you subscribe to receiving email updates from GFTU Action Network, GFTU will use the contact details you provide to send you information about this campaign, other important GFTU campaigns.
