Election day 2019
The 23rd May is the day of European Elections. The run up to elections is vital but polling day can be even more crucial.
We will be running full operations in key wards across the city which means on election day we will need hundreds of Greens like you, to knock on doors and remind Green voters to get out and vote.
Polling Day so what does this actually involve?
Telling involves asking for people’s polling number at the station and serves two important functions:
- It reminds voters just before they cast their vote that the Green Party has a candidate and that we are committed to winning their vote. This is a main reason why tellers wear a green rosette.
- It also allows us to record who of our supporters have already voted, so we don’t need to chase them up.
How do you sign up?
We will be running full operations in eight key wards across the city, each ward have an individual sign up, please select your nearest.
This election we are using a system called sign up, on this online system you can select time slots for either knocking up or telling in your ward.
Simply click on your ward, select the slot you can do, then fill in your details.
Please only sign up for the slots you can definitely do!
