In the early stages of COVID-19 in Australia, FSU members were quick to act. Thousands of FSU members joined the campaign asking employers across the industry to provide support to staff including appropriate PPE, paid pandemic leave and target adjustments to recognise the impact of the pandemic on the Australian economy.

Your success was telling. Within a few short weeks, many employers had responded with guarantees of support for staff in what was a confusing and difficult time. This was because you stood side-by-side, calling for fairness on behalf of all workers.
