Democracy in Colour is a national racial and economic justice organisation led by people of colour. We run campaigns that tackle structural racism, empower people of colour to shape policy discussions that affect our lives and build the capacity in our communities.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't fit all the criteria. Formal education, qualifications and extensive experience matter less to us than passion, initiative and a deep motivation for racial justice

For people who can tell stories, communicating complex ideas into simply and strong skills in writing, messaging and social media

For social savvy people who are always online, preferably with content copywriting, graphic design, video editing or web content skills

For details-oriented people who have skills in summarising research and legal knowledge

For leaders who can bring people together, manage teams, work in community and train others in new skills

For people who can design and implement campaign plans, develop engagement strategies and build relationships that strengthen the political power of communities of colour in their state.
