No Tech For Genocide
No Tech for Genocide is a 56-year-old demand of the historic Students for a Democratic Society at San Jose State, during the Vietnam War. The University must take the following actions to remove itself from genocide, White supremacy, and militarism, or the agitated campus community will take appropriate and direct action to have our demands met.
Immediately disclose the current Tower Foundation of SJSU Endowment Investment Holdings as negotiated.
The Tower Foundation must immediately divest from funds with holdings in companies that facilitate and enable violations of international law and human rights as part of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian and Syrian lands and/or as part of Israeli apartheid.
The Tower Foundation must immediately divest from funds with holdings in companies which consistently, knowingly, and directly facilitate and enable mass incarceration and detention, including those providing prison and jail services, transportation and deportation services, bond services, reentry and other "community corrections" services, electronic monitoring, or companies which use prison labor.
The Tower Foundation must immediately divest from funds with holdings in companies which consistently, knowingly, and directly facilitate and enable state violence and repression, including in the industries of border security, militarized policing, and mass surveillance.
Immediately, cut all university partnerships with defense and technology corporations, as well as government entities complicit with the unlawful occupation of Palestine. This includes eliminating participation in career fairs, recruitment events, College of Engineering Corporate Programs, and other university-subsidized programs.
