Oppose the Norwich Data Centre
Did you know that the proposed data centre on the edge of Norwich will use enough energy to power almost 500,000 homes? That’s around seven times the number of homes in the whole of Norwich. The carbon emissions from that energy usage would be equivalent to approximately 165,000 passenger flights travelling economy class from London to New York.
All this and it’s only expected to create only 100–150 local
jobs, alongside some road improvements. The local Green Party stands in absolute opposition to this! We don’t
believe these benefits justify the costs.
If you agree please
sign our petition and email your Local MP. Lets send a clear message that
developments of this scale must deliver genuine lasting benefits, not only for
our local community, but for ordinary people across the entire country.
