For too long, corporate insiders and billionaires have rigged the rules to hoard power and profit, while the working class is left behind. It’s time to flip the script. Join DSA Chapters across Michigan to wield the power of direct democracy and gather signatures to get 2 crucial initiatives on the ballot in November 2026.

1. Invest In MI Kids would tax the top 1% in Michigan to help fund our public schools. It’s all hands on deck so we can better fund teacher’s salaries, improve career/technical education and lower classroom sizes. This tax would raise over $1 BILLION for public education.

2. MOP Up Michigan would ban corporate monopolies like Blue Cross Blue Shield and DTE from spending in state elections.

We need thousands of signatures to get these on the November 2026 ballot so we are asking volunteers to help collect signatures to get us there and we need YOU!

When we rise together, we can break the stranglehold of corporate power, restore our democracy, and build an economy that puts people first. The elites won’t give us anything—we have to take it back.
