The JustGreen Partnership and its more than 50 member groups urge passage of the Child Safe Products Act, a bill in the New York State legislature that would identify and create a process for getting information about, and phasing out, toxic chemicals in children's products.  Why? Because sadly, toxics are common in products made just for children, and children are especially vulnerable to chemicals in their environment.  Lifelong consequences include, cancer, learning and developmental disabilities, asthma, diabetes, obesity, and infertility.  The Assembly has passed the bill with strong bipartisan support, and 37 Senators sponsor the bill in that house.  The Governor included support for the measure in his Policy Book issued with the State of the State address.
