In January 2025, Greater Baltimore DSA's Trans Rights & Bodily Autonomy Working Group launched Sanctuary Maryland: a campaign focused on advancing the shared rights of migrants, Muslims, trans people, activists, workers, people with disabilities, women, and other groups targeted for violence and repression by the Trump administration and Republican trifecta control of the United States federal government. We now have participation from Metro DC DSA's Bodily Autonomy Working Group, PG County DSA, Frederick DSA, and many non-DSA partner organizations! Under this campaign, we also led on DSA's involvement in the Avelo Out of BWI Campaign, and we won! Avelo cancelled their contract!
