We are at a tipping point moment for transit. Transit systems across the country are grappling with service cuts and plummeting ridership and revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. BART, AC Transit, Muni, and other Bay Area agencies have been forced to make steep service cuts that may become permanent.

Seamless Bay Area is fighting for transit as the essential service it is. Fast and frequent transit service is critically important for the environment, for the economy, and for equity. That’s why we’re fighting to not only preserve and restore service, but to seize this opportunity to make our transit system better as our region emerges from this crisis.

We've created a powerful coalition for change. Seamless Bay Area has built a diverse coalition of elected leaders, agency officials, community groups, and riders supporting major reforms to create a seamless transit system. As a member of the Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force, we are leading the way toward a seamless transit recovery for the Bay Area.

We’re fighting the right fights. We’re building momentum for integrated fares across the Bay Area, with easy-to-understand fare structures and seamless transfers between agencies. And together with our partners, we fought to keep Measure RR on the November ballot, charting a path forward for Caltrain service and the future of rail in our region.
