Solidarity with TPS Holders During Supreme Court Hearing
On Wednesday, April 29, the Supreme Court of the United States will hear arguments regarding whether the Trump administration can end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for individuals from Haiti and Syria. These hearings are not just about TPS holders from these two countries; the Court's decision could set a precedent impacting all 1.3 million TPS holders living in the U.S.
Wednesday morning TPS holders, their family members and allies from all over the country will be rallying on the steps of The Supreme Court in Washington D.C. The goal of this rally is to lift up the voices of TPS holders, and the message is simple, TPS holders are not outsiders, they are part of America and deserve the right to continue to build their lives, families and futures in this country.
This is a collective fight for dignity and justice. We know that not everyone can make it to Washington, D.C., so the TPS Solidarity Committee has developed a toolkit of actions allies can take on Wednesday to stand in solidarity with those on the Supreme Court steps.
