We are embarking on a multi-year campaign to accelerate the pace of new, renovated, and sustainable school buildings in BPS. We will mobilize students, educators and families to move the levers of power at the city and state level in order to reduce procedural barriers, invest in environmentally sustainable maintenance, renovation and construction, and center the needs of historically marginalized Black and Brown school communities. We will embrace the Green Schools vision by working towards the elimination of fossil fuels, reducing waste, providing healthy food, ensuring indoor air quality, providing opportunities for outdoor learning and teaching students about the impacts and solutions of climate change in all our schools.
