Upcoming Immigrant Justice Trainings and Events

Hi, we’re the NYC-DSA Immigrant Justice Working Group, and we organize around issues of immigrant justice, including the criminalization of immigration, and immigrant led struggles for justice at work, at home, and beyond.

As socialists, we believe all people deserve a dignified existence, no matter their citizenship status. We reject the scapegoating of immigrant communities and the criminalization of undocumented community members. We affirm the rights of working people to remain and thrive in the location of their choosing.

We are emphasizing multiple efforts right now, including:

  • Increasing capacity to keep each other safe from ICE and other federal agents, as well as the NYPD, through Know Your Rights, Court Watching and Rapid Response trainings
  • Promoting state-wide legislation, including the New York for All and Dignity Not Detention Acts, to protect our communities from ICE
  • Building community through mutual aid and collective care.
You can request a Know Your Rights training from us for a group of 10+ people in English, Spanish or French; more details, including ways to support offering these in other languages, are in the form.
