Details are emerging about Donald Trump's plan to ramp up military spending by $54 billion, in part by slashing funding for the our critical environmental protections.
Trump is proposing cutting the Environmental Protection Agency's budget by 31% and eliminating 3,200 jobs. He wants to cut key programs that limit toxic pollution and save lives.
These cuts would have huge impacts on families, especially in low-income communities and communities of color that already bear a disproportionate burden of environmental harm compared to more affluent communities.
Congress can and MUST stop Trump's extreme attacks on our environment. We cannot let him cripple the EPA, charged with protecting the health and safety of our communities.
