This January 20th - 21st, 2018 is March On's #WeekendOfWomen, a weekend of nationwide anniversary actions celebrating the historic women’s marches that occurred across the country last January. March On is also using #WeekendOfWomen to kick off a project that goes to the heart of our organization--Operation Marching Orders: Crowdsourcing Our Agenda.
Operation Marching Orders, or OMO, is our project to put YOU in the driver's seat of the kind of change you want for our country and that you want March On to fight for.
But we need YOUR help.
We need you to host an Operation Marching Orders party! While OMO will be using a cutting edge online poll, we want to build community and connections between you and other like-minded activists in your area so that you'll be ready to take on the 2018 elections together. So let's have a party!
In addition, if there isn't an anniversary action near you, OMO is the perfect way to mark the occasion with friends and neighbors.
So what does it mean to host an Operation Marching Orders party? First, you have complete control of the type of party you will host. Whether it’s you and your two closest friends stopping at a restaurant on your way home from an anniversary march or whether it's your neighborhood civic organization gathering in your living room or public library meeting room, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you bring people together to debate and discuss the issues facing our country and how we can take actions together to turn things in a better direction.
Sign-up with our event campaign to host your own local house party, march, or other event to commemorate the women's marches of 2017, and to take the next step to help convert that special moment into a movement.
