In September, the frontlines stood up to Senator Manchin and Senator Schumer and defeated a dirty side deal that would undermine one of our bedrock environmental laws, fast-track fossil fuels, and sacrifice environmental justice communities. We beat it back again in December by getting it out of the annual defense bill (NDAA). Unfortunately, Manchin is still trying to force through his fossil fuel provisions in the Senate, and Democratic leadership may still try to attach it to the must-pass end-of-year spending bill.
