All are welcome, no prior experience or SNS attendance is required.

These sessions are free of charge and in-person.

Full Schedule

Monday, October 13th: Why the Working Class

  • Why do socialists believe that the working class is uniquely positioned in society to transform the world for the better? You’ll have to come to the discussion to find out!*

Monday, October 27th: Zohran: The Discussion

  • Zohran Mamdani’s historic primary win has changed the terrain for socialist engagement in electoral politics. Join us for a discussion of what makes his campaign unique and what it means more broadly for the left.

Monday, November 10th: Nationalism, Internationalism, and Socialism

  • Reactionary nationalistic rhetoric is on the rise. Join us for a discussion on what distinguishes right wing nationalism from liberatory movements and why socialists believe in a world beyond borders.

To be scheduled: Intersections: Labor, Race, and Organizing

  • The ruling class of the United States has long used racism as a means to divide and conquer the working class. Join us for a discussion on how racial capitalism impacts our organizing work and what we can do about it.

To be scheduled: Marxist Economics 101

  • Economics are at the center of the Marxist analytical tool kit and theory of change. Come join us for a discussion about the fundamentals of Marxist economic thinking and how it applies today.

To be scheduled: Post-Capitalism

  • What does the transition to a socialist society look like, and what can we expect once we are there? In this discussion we go through the looking glass to think about what the future might hold.*
