The event will include several dynamic speakers, concurrent sessions, community awards, and opportunities to shape the future work of The Health Collaborative.

11:00am – 12:15pm | Concurrent Sessions – Dive Deeper with the Panelists Session 1: Building Civic Capacity Through the Health Sector Learn more about how Healthy Democracy Healthy People and Blue Ridge Literacy work with professionals in the health sector to build community capacity and promote civic engagement. Gnora and Ahoo will share how they are creating change at the individual and policy levels. Session 2: Connecting Residents and Decisionmakers to Build a Culture of Engagement Learn more about how the City of Norfolk’s Neighborhood Engagement Division and Monroe County Health Equity Council are building meaningful relationships between residents and local government. Jim, Jamie, and Annie will share how their organizations are supporting resident leadership and implementing more equitable processes for engagement and decision-making. |
